North Memorial Health in partnership with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota launched a joint venture called Blaze Health which includes North Memorial Health’s primary care clinics, specialty care clinics and hospice.

About this position

The RN Lead performs clinical care coordination and oversight to ensure customer care staff is delivering highest level of appropriate customer care.

What we’ll expect from you

• Ensures staff are optimizing Epic to support best practice work flow including monitoring inbasket and working with staff to appropriately scrub messages.
• Ensures customer care staff are flexing according to physician staffing levels.
• Identifies and tracks ongoing educational needs as necessary to ensure staff competency.
• Ensures clinical staff is working to the top of their job accountabilities/license/certification.
• Continuously involved in identifying process and staff efficiencies.
• Assists in interviewing/hiring new staff.
• Performs administrative duties.
• Orients new staff and insures that current staff meet required training/certification (i.e. BLS, Safety, Infection Control, etc.) Insures equipment is in working condition. Coordinates repairs as necessary.
• Maintains equipment and medication logs and records.
• Assists with customer care functions.
• Able to perform all areas of customer care (See Nurse, Clinic RN Job Description).
• Assists with RN Triage as needed (See Nurse, Triage RN Job Description).
• Insures cleanliness and orderliness of customer care areas.
• Accepts other duties as assigned to promote the accomplishment of organizational goals.
• The team member is accountable to demonstrate proficiency for the skills outlined in the appropriate position skills list.
• The team member is accountable to maintain skill proficiency, including improvement where deemed necessary, and upgrading any additional or new skills on the appropriate position skills list. • Recognizes and complies with legal, regulatory, accrediting and procedural requirements related to area of responsibility.
• Understands and follows principles and standards as outlined in North Memorial's Corporate Code of Conduct.
• Protects customer and team member privacy and only accesses customer and/or team member related information as needed to perform job duties.
• Reports violations or areas of concern to supervisor or Corporate Compliance Officer via established methods of communication.

Education

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required   

Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities 

• 3 -5 years nursing experience in a clinic required, EPIC experience preferred
• Previous supervisory experience preferred within a clinic setting. • Knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
• Knowledge of Primary Care Principles/Practices.
• Strong computer skills.      

Licensure/Certification(s) Mandatory

• Current licensure as RN in State of Minnesota

• Current BLS certificatioBH Standard
